The next day I went out to Arvada for an International Festival. I didn't get any good pictures there (I got there a bit early and there wasn't much happening), so I wandered around a bit.

Arvada's a fairly small town which reminded me very much of Pekin, Illinois, my home town. In fact, I wandered past this Army-Navy Surplus store. My father used to run a similar store in Pekin, so I went in. It was packed with every variety of camping gadget and work clothing in this sector of the galaxy. Dad would have absolutely loved the place.

House with blue striped pattern on second story I found the unusual paint pattern on the upper story of this house (which now is in use as a law office) quite charming.
