That takes care of Alan and Cuong, but Bob (competitor two) hasn't been paired yet. We look until we find the first person he hasn't met. That will be Donald, competitor four. They get paired in the "opponent area."

Similarly, competitors five and seven get paired, as do competitors six and eight.

Now that rounds one and two are complete, we can (and do) write the bout sheets for the first two rounds.

When you have three hundred people at a tournament, which is about average for SCVWA, you can see why this takes all the time between the end of weigh-ins at 8:30 AM and the start of wrestling at 10 AM.
