Wrestling is an exciting sport that has been around since the dawn of time. The Santa Clara High School wrestling team coaching staff invites everyone interested or curious about wrestling to come and find out more about the oldest sport known to man. Our main focus is to have fun while learning how to wrestle Freestyle and Greco-Roman. Since this is an individual sport, not a team sport, there is no pressure to win. If you are thinking about wrestling or have wrestled for a school team, then this is the best way to learn the basics as well as the advanced skills needed to reach your highest potential.
PRACTICES: Every Tuesday and Thursday beginning on Feburary 27, 1996 at 5:00 PM. Practice sessions are from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
LOCATION: Santa Clara High School - Wrestling Room (The door to this room is in the far back facing the soccer/baseball field). The address is 3800 Benton Street, Santa Clara. (See map)
AGES: Novice (born 1984-85), Schoolboy (born 1982-83), Cadets (born 1980-81), Juniors (born 1978-81), and Open divisions. Note: all former Jets club members are invited.
COST: USA Wrestling Association membership card - $25, Jets club fee - $15, Local tournament entry fees - $6 per tournament.
