Round Robin
When you have only three people left in a group, they go to "round robin,"
where each of them meets the others.
The matches will take place over three rounds, as shown below:
- Alan vs. Enrique (Greg gets a bye)
- Alan vs. Greg (Enrique gets a bye)
- Enrique vs. Greg (Alan gets a bye)
Things to note:
- We use a red pencil to draw crescents at the left of the Round Robin columns. These
help us to see who's left.
- We have already taken care of the byes by entering a score of "-" and
zero classification points.
By the way: If you're one of the three remaining people in the bracket and
enter round robin with your second loss, you're still in the tournament (effectively)
but you automatically get third place. This answers the question of whether you can
lose two matches and still be in the tournament.
