It's not hard to take good pictures of things that are inherently beautiful; the challenge is to take good (or at least interesting) pictures of things that one would not ordinarily consider noteworthy.
My friend Tom Schaefges, who is a professional photographer, has done this sort of thing as well. (See his abstracts page.)
Here's my attempt at doing something similar. These pictures were taken with the Olympus C2000 and Sony DSC-D770 digital cameras over the past few months.
