In any case, he asked if I could do him a favor. "Blow into this breathalyzer so that I can start my car," he asked.
I thought for a moment, and then said, "I'd like to, but if you were to get into an accident, I could go to jail for the next twenty or so years."
"Oh, come on," he said, "nobody's going to know."
"I'll know," I replied. After an fairly lengthy pause, I said, "I just wouldn't feel right about doing this. I'd love to help you, but it might not turn out to be much of a favor in the long run." At which point I rode away.
