There's more to Las Vegas than the Strip (at least in terms of casinos). The Fremont Street area north of the strip has been extensively remodeled over the past few years. There's now a canopy that covers a three or four block area. Several times each night, a light show is projected onto the canopy. This show, called the “Fremont Street Experience”, is quite nice. It lasts about five minutes; the only drawback is the sound that accompanies it. It's incredibly loud, and I suspect it was engineered by the NADOTWWBRSN (National Association of the Deaf Or Those Who Will Be Real Soon Now). Here are some pictures of the Fremont Street area, including, of course, the meretricious neon lady.
